Meryem returns to Turkey from Germany, where she has worked as a laborer until her retirement a few years previously. She visits her son Adem for a few days in Berlin. Adem lives alone in the house where his mother raised him, and her arrival turns his life upside down. Mother and son, alienated as a result of the conflicts arising from two different generations of immigrants, don’t have anything much left to say to each other.
